About

This blog started out in 2008 as a personal journal (now on private). Posts were far between as I only wrote when I felt like it and when it “felt right.”

By January 2016, I transferred my blog to this website which I’ve also designed with limited WordPress skills. I was confident in doing so because my goal has been and will always be to write. While I do have affiliate links that are all marked with an *, I don’t and will never use SEO hacks and Google Adwords to siphon money and worse, time, off readers.

Why Anthroonfoot?

Anthro= from Greek anthrōpos= “human being”

on Foot= in celebration of anthrōpos’ oldest means of transportation

Anthroonfoot is curated along the lines of “making sense of the why behind the what” in recognition of life’s diversity, ambiguity, beauty, and impermanence. Just like every person on this planet, I am a traveler traversing my own path, eager to share one view out of the 7.6 billion on this Earth. So on this tiny webspace, I wish to share what I see, smell, hear, taste, and feel. My “why” will always be different from your “why,” and that’s totally fine.

While I do my best to edit my work, my writing is a work in progress. I am not a native English speaker and so there’s definitely a lot of room for improvement. If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact me.

What Anthroonfoot is Not

A travel guide: so many authority books and sites out there provide detailed guides for just about every country in the world.

A travel planning site: so many authority books and sites out there provide all you need from A-Z.

A travel hacking site: so many authority books and sites out there prove that you can travel for less than $50 a day.

A travel photography site: so many authority books and sites out there display page after page of photos showing life’s unimaginable beauty.

What Anthroonfoot is

A showcase of a life worth living: authentic, original, and premised on our own “why.”

A reminder that a simple and unassuming life can lead to peace and bliss.

A reminder that the most important things are already within us, and at home.

Join us as we explore our own “why”– one foot at a time.
